A great night in Portballintrae

We had the privilege of taking part in 'The Shelter' event last night in Portballintrae Village Hall (located right down at the far end of the village) a monthly event organised through Dunseverick Baptist Tabernacle. The building was packed to the door with mostly young folk as well as some weans and adults. Also there were speaker Sam Balmer (and his son Matthew) and the superb Revelation. We were given such a warm welcome we could have stayed all night. We joined Sam for the communal singing at the start and then we played for about 25 minutes, with the definite highlight being when wee Charlotte McCurdy got up and sang all of 'Victory in Jesus' along with us - she was brilliant, and still only 2 years old!

By the end of the night we were completely cleared out of CDs and so we headed for home ( a 2 hour journey) about 11.30pm. We love playing in County Antrim, among country folk like ourselves; if you're thinking of going to 'The Shelter', either as one of the audience, or even to take part, we'd definitely recommend it! They're doing a brilliant work there which is being richly blessed.
